The Dermatology Division of HC-FMUSP is one of the few in the world that has its own infirmary. It consists of 20 beds, 2 of which are isolated, which allows the admission of patients with extensive skin involvement, such as Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and others. The infirmary also has dressing rooms with special bathtubs. The nursing staff consists of 2 nurses and 11 nursing assistants, who are trained to deal with the most varied dermatological diseases.

Weekly, there are general visits with the entire clinical staff of the Service. Patients are assisted daily and on duty by 5th year inmates and residents, with daily supervision by assistants. In total, around 400 patients are hospitalized annually.
