According to the National Center for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), Productivity Grants are intended for researchers who stand out among their peers, valuing their scientific production according to normative criteria, established by CNPq, and specific, by the Advisory Committees ( CNPq's CAs).

Accreditation and Re-accreditation of Advisors
The rules for the accreditation of new advisors in this Program are:
1) The term for accreditation and re-accreditation of advisors is 5 years.
